The 2021 transfer season is already opened with major political stakeholders validating their strongholds.
The South-East seems to be the new bride as the two major political parties are interested in the South-East top players.
David Umahi left PDP United for APC Bombers, while Ikpeazu, Ekweremadu, Emeka Ihedioha and some few other top strikers for United are speculated to be undergoing medicals already in a rumoured record-breaking transfer fee.
The transfer window would be opened for all as long as terms and conditions are strictly adhered to.
Although it is still too early to fix the venue for the Champions League Grand Finale many officials are already speaking out as regards the zoning system.
The zoning system would determine the location of the grand finale.
Already Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is a major league sponsor has started shopping for his A-List players ahead of the crucial season.
While the debate still rages on the principles of zoning, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu seems to have ignored the distractions and is focusing on securing bloc support from across the six Geo-political zones.
Last week practically saw the Jagaban relocating to Kano where he met with top strikers and was even endorsed by the congregation of Ulamas who pledged to support Team Tinubu ahead of the 2023 champions league finals.
Tinubu inspected the facilities on the ground in Kano and commended the team coach of Kano Pillars, Alhaji Ganduje for his developmental stride.
Not done the Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero paid a private visit to the Jagaban at his Bourdillon, Ikoyi, Lagos home at the weekend.
Kano is the political nerve centre of the North-west. With Kano secured it would be a smooth entrance into other states in the region.
With Kano fully conquered the Jagaban of Borgu is set to hit the North-East in search of more players to complement the team already on the ground.
Tinubu is relying on his ally in the North-East, Governor Zulum of Borno State to lead the negotiating team on his behalf with the party stakeholders from the zone.
Some few weeks ago the Borno State Governor paid a courtesy visit to the Jagaban at his Ikoyi residence were the formation that would lead the attack was drafted.
According to bush radio sources, the duo adopted the Tiki-Taka formation.
A popular footballing idiom that says “if the opposition hasn’t got the ball, they can’t score”.
Tiki-Taka draws on this by hoarding the ball for 60-70% of the game and controlling the pace of play.
The North-East might be dangled with the Vice-Presidential slot.
Already Asiwaju Tinubu has left no stone unturned in retaining the South-West as the major launchpad towards 2023.
Lately, the APC leaders in the South-West have been active reconciling all aggrieved players and trying to bring them back to camp under one coach.
Aregbesola has started fence-mending with Oyetola.
Bisi Akande who is leading the reconciliation moves in the South- West has also succeeded in mediating the four-year-old rift between Ondo State Governor, Akeredolu and the Minister of interior Ogbeni Aregbesola.
All these Fence-mending are geared towards the 2023 presidential elections.
The South-West is set to produce a full untied team to face other regions for the grand battle ahead.
The leaders are not limiting their efforts to only APC party members, even the South-West PDP are in the loop.
From the look of things, the Jagaban is not resting on his oars.
Let us take a chill and see how the transfer season plays out, our subsequent edition a glimpse of the transfer season window been explored by the PDP would be x-rayed.
