The All Progressive Congress in Bayelsa has raised an alarm over the allege plot by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to arrest some party leaders in Sagbama Local Government Area of the State ahead of the December 5th election.
According to the APC those allegedly list for arrest include the Director-General of the Peremobowei Ebebi campaign organisation, Hon. Offoni Williams, a former security adviser to the Bayelsa government, Chief Perekeme Kpodoh, the Former Acting Governor, Nestor Binabo and retired Capt. Msthw karimu.
The APC in a statement issued and signed by
the Director-General of the Peremobowei Ebebi campaign organisation, Hon. Offoni Williams, accused the political to Governor Douye Diri of being allegedly behind the plot in order to stop the APC leaders from participating in the election.
The Party called on the State Commissioner of Police, Mike Okoli not to allow the police to be used as a tool to stop the APC from taking part in the election.
Also Speaking, Chief Perekeme Kpodoh confirmed the Development, insisting that the allege plot for an arrest will not cow any APC members of the party in the state.
According to him, “Investigations showed that some prominent leaders of APC in Sagbama have been listes for arrest by the police to stop them from voting on Saturday.”
