The foremost Yoruba Leader and Chieftain of Afenifere Socio-Cultural Group, Elder Ayo Adebanjo has said that President Muhammadu does not possess the basic knowledge, experience and the political exposure to govern the country successfully.
Adebanjo said this on Monday, November 23 in Ibadan, the state capital of Oyo State, while paying a condolence visit to Governor Seyi Makinde on the demise of her mother who died recently.
The Yoruba Leader stressed that Nigeria’s transition to another phase of recession was orchestrated by Buhari’s incompetence, ignorance and lack of technical know how to govern and administer the county brilliantly and successfully.
Adebanjo reiterated that he had said time without numbers that Buhari has nothing meaningful to offer this country but he is full of parochial interest and personal aggrandizement to make Nigeria a Fulani dominated and owned country which he said could not work.
He said the country would be better of, provided the current government gives room for restructuring which remains the best to take care of the regions and the respective states under their zones of geographical locations.
He said people should not be deceived by the outbreak and prevalence of coronavirus pandemic, stressing that at what position Covid-19 met the county and what exactly the leaders are doing to get rid of the pernicious disease?.
Adebanjo said the issue of coronavirus had been publicized with undue attention with a view to perpetrating financial fraudulence and other forms of malpractices.
On APC’s chieftains to former president Goodluck Jonathan and fortunes of PDP as people are leaving the party into the former, he said he was neither a member of APC nor PDP but he stands firmly on true governance and betterment of Nigeria.
Adebanjo stressed that his struggle for better Nigeria had started since 1950 and he is still airing his views patriotically and courageously until the needful is done for a better Nigeria.
He said there was no doubt that the country is battling with serious challenges and suggested that the only way out is to get the country restructured completely.
Adding that the current constitution being drafted by the military is unacceptable, fraudulent and one sided, stressing that when the country is restructured, the new constitution will be in place.
