The 42-year- old man, Idris Umar with no left hand has been seen riding a motorcycle with the only available right hand on third mainland bridge, Lagos.
Umar who hails from Katsina State but currently lives at Ketu, Ikosi Road No2, Lagos State was on Sunday, November 1 seen riding a motorcycle with his only available right hand on third mainland bridge, Lagos.
The crew of naijatodaynews.com in an exclusive interaction with the 42-year-old man, Umar, revealed that he lost his left hand side to an accident which almost killed him.
He added that as a diligent, focused and determined person, he decided not to go to the street and beg for alms but engaging himself in a gas lamp repair so as to feed himself and equally cater for family members and others around him.
Umar stressed that he had been in the business for some years and God in His infinite mercy had been guiding and guarding him to do what he can to the satisfaction of his customers.
He said that he had the customers all over the places in Lagos State and he always visits them at their respective places of work, to repair and fill their gas lamps successfully.
Umar stressed that motorcycle is the only means of transportation he has now to visit the customers and get their works done neatly.
He said that his current challenges had not in any way makes him looks despair, depressed and unhappy, adding that despite his condition, he could still engage in paid jobs to feed himself and others conveniently.
He enjoined other physically challenged people whose conditions are not bad as his, to think of what they can do so as not become burden to the family and society at large.
Umar enjoined governments at all levels, philanthropists and those who are well to do in the society to come to his aid to raise him financially in order to fulfill his goals and dream in life.
