The Caretaker Chairman, Iseyin South, Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Iseyin Area of Oyo State, Hon. Fasasi Raheem Ajibola FM has lavished encomiums on Governor Seyi Makinde and Aseyin of Iseyinland, Oba Abdulganniy Salau Ologunebi for their uncommon and notable leadership roles roles which have averted crises orchestrated by violent protest which could have consumed the community and state at large.
FM while speaking with Khalid Imran, Editor, naijatodaynews.com in Iseyin eulogized the duo for display of unique leadership roles, dexterity and experience garnered all over the years to preclude the disaster which could have arisen as a result of protest that was hijacked in Iseyinland and other parts of Oyo State by the hoodlums and agents of retrogression.
The Council boss in his conversation commended other political leaders in the community and beyond for rising collectively against the dastardly acts and perpetrations aimed at tarnishing the image of the community and ultimately set the notable places ablaze.
FM appealed them not to relent in their struggles and concerted efforts which are geared towards the development, progress, unity, togetherness and peaceful coexistence of the community at large.
In the same vein, FM appealed the protesters to be peaceful in their protest, agitations and struggles to make the government accedes to their requests and demands.
He stressed that protest is not strange to democratic practice but it requires to be conducted and organized in a peaceful way and manner that devoids of violence, lawlessness and taking laws unto someone’s hands.
FM enjoined them to learn from past and completely refrain from any manner and dastardly acts capable of setting the community ablaze and consequently cause social unrest that could warrant curfew and other dictatorial executive order.
He appealed the investors and other business tycoons in Iseyinland to stop nursing phobia as community leaders are doing everything humanly possible to protect their businesses and other resources being placed on Iseyin’s soil.
FM called on governments at all levels to ensure the youths’ demands are met in no distant time, adding that they have made their mission clear and it is incumbent on governments to do the needful.
He added that youths’ impacts in national national development could not be jettisoned and it is significant to cater for what will make life more comfortable and easier for them.
