JUST IN: My Allegation Of Involvement In Ibarapa PDP Women Crisis Is A Cheap Blackmail — Ogundoyin Says

Mother to the Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly and Iyaloja General of Ibarapaland axis of the state, Yeye Tina Ogundoyin has described her alleged involvement in an attack on Mrs Bose Somoye in connection with Ibarapa East PDP women crisis as a cheap blackmail.
Mrs Ogundoyin disclosed this in a release she personally signed on Monday, October 5 and made available to naijatodaynews.com.
According to her,”my attention has been drawn to a misleading report being circulated by one Mr Musibau (a.k.a. MC Oluomo), indicting me in a duel that occurred between two People’s Democratic Party (PDP) members – Mrs Funke Grace and Mrs Bose Somoye, PDP Ward 5 Women Leader – in Ibarapa East Local Government”.
“The report is undoubtedly the handiwork of mischief makers who have developed unbridled penchant for propagation of lies in their undying quest to smear my name in the mud”.
“For the purpose of clarity and to set the records straight, I never directed, at any point, anybody to attack the said victim. The incident, based on the information I gathered, was birthed by a disagreement that occurred in Igboora between the two parties, at the event of receiving the Wife of the Governor of Oyo State on Monday, 28th September, 2020”.
“On Tuesday, 29th September, 2020, it was alleged that Mrs Bose Somoye, accompanied by Mr Musibau, one Mr Elewure, another Mr Gbenga Idowu, and other unidentified persons ambushed Mrs Funke Grace while she was returning from work. It was reported that the later vehemently resisted the attack, escalating into a physical combat where the said victim was beaten. It took the intervention of the Operation Burst operatives to restore normalcy to the atmosphere”.
“While I strongly condemn any form of attack on anyone, I beseech the peddlers of the fake news to desist from such. I, therefore, urge the general public to disregard the fake report that I was the sponsor of the attack. I hold my name and the position I occupy in high esteem, and will never stoop so low to order an attack of any guise against anyone, irrespective of the prevailing circumstances”, Ogundoyin stated.
