Alhaji Mudasiru Ayoola of Ile Oba’s compound, Ilero, Iwa, Local Council Development Area(LCDA) in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State has narrated how the sum of Ten Million Naira(#10,000,000) ransom paid for the suspected kidnapers necessitated his life rescue from their captivity.
Ayoola was said to have been abducted by the suspected Fulani Herdsmen on Wednesday, September, 23rd along ipapo road, Oke-Ogun axis of the pacesetter state while on his business trip to cattles’ ranches.
Khalid Imran, Editor, naijatodaynews.com in an exclusive interaction with Ayoola, shortly after his freedom from the suspected kidnappers’ captivity who were acknowledged to be Fulani Herdsmen disclosed that he would have been died by now, provided the #10m requested was not paid on time or not up to the exact amount.
While narrating his ordeal in their captivity, Ayoola said that he was kidnapped on Wednesday morning of September, 23rd while he and Fulani Herdsman who looks after his herd of cattles were going to the farm where a cattle got lost.
Ayoola lamented that it was a rude shock to him that the suspected Fulani Kidnappers laid ambush on him along the road leading to the business farm.
He said that the suspected kidnappers were eight (8) in number, they appeared not covering their faces, they could speak fulefude fluently, armed with the sophisticated guns and other dangerous weapons among others.
Ayoola said his kidnap was not coincidental with anyone nor paramilitary officers who could rescue him at the point of abduction, stressing that immediately they caught him, he was taken to far and unknown wilderness where no one could find him nor know his whereabout.
He added that he trekked many kilometres of journey since 9am till 3am in a wilderness with severe beating, starvation and other forms of wickedness on him.
Ayoola revealed that he was told by the suspected kidnappers that it was someone who is intimate to him that gave them the hint and how financially muscled he is.
He added that the wrong pieces of information at their disposal triggered the demand for fifty million naira(#50,000,000) which he said he could not get such huge amount.
Ayoola said he was eventually compelled to pay ten million naira (#10,000,000) within a stipulated ultimatum of two days, which they said its failure to meet up in totality would enhance the exit of his life.
He said he had to call the relatives and friends to be of help to him so that he could return alive and unhurt, stressing that when the money was available, a point of meeting was fixed where four (4) among the eight (8) herdsmen had to meet with his brother and relatives to get the money.
Ayoola said he was grateful to God that he was not killed and returned unhurt, stressing that the suspected Fulani Herdsmen had once attacked him and carted away money and some other valuable items in his custody.
In his own appreciation, the Elero of Ileroland, Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka Ige Onisa Olokolonigi 11 thanked God that his rescue was ultimately attained, stressing that he needed to thank God because the people of the entire community felt so bad, unhappy and disheartened.
The Community Chairman, Alhaji Amuda Ganiyu Amugat said Ayoola was an easy going person, religious and dedicated man to community’s progress and development, adding that his rescue unhurt brought joy back to the community and its environs.
His wife, Elizabeth Ayoola was grateful to God, having seen her husband again after few days in the suspected Fulani kidnappers’ captivity.
