The leadership of The National Association of Polytechnic Students under the presidency of Comrade Olalere Benedict Adetunji has commiserated and condoled with the Government, people and students community of Kogi state at large over the unfortunate demise of some students and citizens of the state who lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident, few days ago in Lokoja. “It’s with a rude shock I received the news of the unfortunate disaster which took the lives of many Innocent souls, most precisely our students preparing towards the full resumption of academic activities in their various institutions”.
“It’s indeed an irreparable loss to their households and students community at large”.
“My condolence goes to the family of deceased, May God grant them fortitude to bear the colossal loss. – The NAPS President expressed”.
“This is another reason we need to keep mounting pressure on the States and Federal Governments of Nigeria to enhance further on construction and rehabilitation of more road networks across the federation for its one of the major causesof Road Transport Accident in Nigeria which has claimed almost hundreds of innocent lives over the years.
“However, We therefore call on the Federal Government in our usual way of advocating for the masses’ interest to look keenly into rehabilitation of the Road systems in Nigeria and explore different strategic mercenaries towards the curbing of Road Transport Accident across the Nation”, Comrade Olalere Benedict said.
“As we console with the family of the deceased members of our organ community, we implore our constituents, the honourable Nigerian polytechnic students across the world to please drive safe, keep safe and our struggle towards immediate re- opening of schools has yielded many positive results and still yielding”.
