The Ogbomoso-born Philanthropist and politician, Hon. Akinwale Akinwole popularly known as ‘ Wolekanle’ has visited the Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Adebo Edward Ogundoyin, today , Thursday, 13th August, in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
His visitation and meeting with Ogundoyin was coming barely after 24 hours that Wolekanle confirmed his readiness and determination to defect to Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), with prime motive to identify with good works of Engr Seyi Makinde.
The details of their meeting and discussion have not been made public, but reliable hints revealed that Wolekanle’s visit to the speaker and others in the hallow chamber was in connection with his firm readiness to join the ruling party in the pacesetter state and simultaneously felicitated with Ogundoyin on his leadership role as a speaker and the tremendous achievements he and other parliamentarians had attained since assumption of office.
It would be recalled that Wolekanle had two days ago spoken on his eagerness to defect to PDP, following an alleged injustice and poor reward system in All Progressive Congress(APC).
