The National Association of Polytechnics(NAPS) in Nigeria have commiserated with the family and friends of Uniben’s Uwa Omazuma who was gruesomely raped and killed at Redeemed Christian Church of God, Edo Province 10, Ikpoba Hill, Benin, Edo State.
While demanding for justice, The NAPS Global President, Comrade Olalere Benedict, on behalf of NAPS commiserated with the family and friends of the deceased and equally demanded for justice on gruesome rape and killing of the student of the University of Benin and in strong terms condemned the rape which he described as evil and satanic, adding that he demanded for justice because an injury to one is an injury to all.
It would be recalled that, Uwa Omazuwa an undergraduate student of University of Benin was raped at Redeemed Christian church of God, Edo Province 10, Ikpoba Hill, Benin,where she was reading.
Some men were reported to have made their way into the church auditorium where they struck her in the head with a fire extinguisher,raped her and left her dead.
A security guard at the church reportedly found her in a pool of blood and informed his superiors at the church.
The 22years old victim was unconscious,rushed to the University Teaching Hospital where she narrated her ordeal and she however, died on may 30th 2020.
