The Hospital’s Taskforce on Covid-19 has announced that the first repeat tests carried out on the two members of staff reported over one week ago have returned negative, while they also await the second repeat tests.
This announcement was contained in a release on ‘ Update on Diagnosed Cases of Covid-19 in the UCH, Ibadan’ issued and signed by Hospital’s Covid-19 Media Team on Wednesday, May 6th.
In its words, “The Hospital’s taskforce on COVID-19 continues to remain vigilant. Regular reminders and training of members of the Hospital community on Infection Prevention and Control of COVID-19 remain a major focus of the group”.
“As at the close of business on Tuesday, 5th May, 2020, no new case was reported and this has been the trend in about a week now”.
“It is cheering to announce that the first repeat tests carried out on the two members of staff reported over one week ago have returned negative while we also await the second repeat tests”.
“The University College Hospital, Ibadan will continue to render excellent care and services to all our patients”.
“The Hospital equally enjoins everyone to abide by the required infection prevention and control measures as prescribed by the WHO and NCDC such as physical distancing, regular hand washing, use of hand sanitizers and face masks.
