The Caretaker Chairman of Iseyin South Local Council Development Area(LCDA), Iseyin Area of Oyo State, Hon. Raheem Ajibola FM has lauded the investors’ strategic plans that are centre on making Iseyin an hospitable abode and tourist centre.
FM showered the words of appreciation and encomiums on investors whose plans and satisfaction were premised on parcel of land adjacent to the council secretariat which they confirmed useful for the building of tourist and hospitality centres.
FM in his office at Molete axis of Iseyin stressed that investors’ plans and readiness to make Iseyin an hospitable abode and tourist centre would no doubt boost the town’s popularity and increase the LCDA’s Internal Generated Revenues (IGR).
In his words, FM disclosed that the invitation of Chief Oladele Awujoola and his team from United Kingdom (UK) was consequent upon his commitment and readiness to develop the council, especially in the area of hospitality.
FM declared that it was painful and disheartening that there is no single recreation centre in Iseyin as obtainable in other cities, hinted that he and other career officers in the council have met over the matter as every effort is in pipeline to make best use of the long abandoned parcel of land around manor house for the benefit and growth of people in the area.
FM explicitly stated that the investors had assured people of Iseyin that the project would be done for the benefit of all and sundry.
”It is true that for now, we don’t have money in the council but I’m confident that as we have agreed to make a public private partnership, we can collectively do it” said FM
One of the investors, Mr Anifowoshe remarked and commended Governor Seyi Makinde for giving a visionary and focused young man like FM, an opportunity to serve his people in the capacity of LCDA boss.
He stated that, “I developed interest in FM because I have identified that he genuinely loves his people and town, and we are ready to join forces with him in building a virile community”.
The investors’ meeting had other attendance of the Career Officers in the LCDA, Mr Taofik Alapapo, Alhaji Kazeem Fatai, Mr Shola Adetunji and several others.
