Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has called for a renewed commitment to the ideals of unity and nation-building as the nation celebrates its 64th Independence Anniversary.

Senator Alli commended the resilience, unity, and unwavering commitment of Nigerians to the progress of the country, urging them to honor the sacrifices of the nation’s founding fathers by contributing positively to nation-building and development.
The lawmaker described Nigeria’s journey since independence as challenging but lauded the country’s collective resolve to uphold values of peace, tolerance, and diversity.
“We have remained steadfast and united as one people, which is a testament to our resilience.
“With the right policies and the efforts of both government and citizens, we can overcome obstacles and build a prosperous Nigeria where every citizen has equal opportunities,” Alli said.
He encouraged Nigerians to have faith in the potential of the country, stressing the need for patience, determination, and collaboration across political, ethnic, and religious divides to secure a brighter future.
Senator Alli expressed optimism that with strategic planning, Nigeria would witness economic revival and sustainable growth, leading to an improved quality of life for all.
