Empowering Grassroots Development: Reps’ Member, Remi Oseni Assigns Portfolios To 70 Special Assistants

In a bold move to enhance grassroots development and constituency engagement, Hon. Aderemi Oseni, representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has assigned portfolios to 70 special assistants. This strategic decision aims to harness the expertise and passion of these individuals to drive meaningful change across the constituency.

During a formal meeting in Eruwa, Oseni, also Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), outlined the roles and responsibilities of the special assistants. Represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Alhaji Hakeem Okedina, Oseni emphasized the importance of delivering tangible results to the people.

“The constituents expect a lot, and they deservedly want to see positive changes in their lives and constituency. As my representatives, you are now in the same boat with me, and they expect that their lives will take a new and better turn,” Oseni stressed.

The special assistants have been assigned various portfolios addressing critical areas of development in Ibarapa East/Ido, including:

  2. Education
  3. Healthcare
  4. Economic Empowerment
  5. Women’s Affairs and Social Welfare
  6. Youth Affairs
  7. Agriculture
  8. Transportation
  9. Community Development
  10. Energy and Power

Oseni charged the appointees to act with integrity, dedication, and a deep understanding of the constituency’s needs. “You must work to make yourself worthy of God and the people, to make our esteemed constituents believe that the right hands are chosen.”

This initiative is part of Oseni’s broader plan to foster progress in his constituency, building on his campaign promises. As a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Oseni reaffirmed his commitment to delivering meaningful results, urging the appointed aides to see their roles as an opportunity to serve and make a positive impact.
