Former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido has made a stunning prediction about the political future of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, stating that he will soon become a “political orphan” to President Bola Tinubu. Lamido’s remarks came during a recent interview, where he discussed the internal crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Wike’s controversial affiliation with the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration.
Lamido attributed the PDP’s current woes to its failure to build on the stability it established during its time in power, citing the party’s inability to learn from its past mistakes. He criticized Wike for betraying his party and mortgaging its interests, predicting that both Wike and Tinubu will ultimately lose out due to their “unholy” and “immoral” alliance.
The former governor also expressed disappointment that Tinubu is using his talents and sagacity for personal gain rather than Nigeria’s development, warning that his empire will eventually collapse like that of Pharaoh. Lamido emphasized that the country is losing under Tinubu’s leadership, and that the PDP has not conceded that Tinubu is unstoppable in 2027.
Lamido’s statements have sparked intense debate and speculation about the future of Nigerian politics, particularly the fate of Wike and Tinubu’s alliance. As the political landscape continues to evolve, one thing is clear: the stakes are high, and the consequences of their actions will be far-reaching.
