The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was in mourning. Their beloved Chairman, Ajiboye Omodewu, had passed away in the United States. As the news spread, party members and leaders were devastated.

In a statement, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Oyo State All Progressives Congress (APC), Olawale Sadare revealed that the late Chairman had expressed a desire to be buried in his hometown of Otu, and that efforts were underway to transport his remains back to Nigeria. “We are working closely with the relevant authorities and the Chairman family to ensure that his wishes are respected,” Sadare said.

Sadare said, the party swung into action, processing the necessary papers to transport Chairman Omodewu’s remains back to Nigeria. It was a complex process, but they were driven by their respect for the late Chairman’s wishes.

As they worked on the logistics, they also planned a fitting tribute to Chairman Omodewu. A lying-in-state ceremony would be held at the Oke-Ado State Secretariat, allowing party members and the general public to pay their respects to the departed leader.

Rumors had circulated that Chairman Omodewu would be buried in New York, but the party was quick to debunk those claims. They assured the public that they would be updated on the burial arrangements soon.

For now, the APC family in Oyo State came together to celebrate the life and legacy of their Chairman, Ajiboye Omodewu. They would honor his memory by granting his final wish, and ensuring that he was laid to rest in the place he loved most – his hometown of Otu.
