The Publisher of Parrot Xtra Magazine/PMParrot.com, Olayinka Agboola, has announced the passing of his father-in-law, Pastor (Engineer) Sunday Matthew Adetunji. The late Engineer Adetunji, a renowned founder of Amafo Group of Companies, died on May 28, 2024, at the age of 82, after a brief illness at his Lagos residence.
According to Agboola, the burial program will commence on July 25, 2024, with a ‘Service of Songs’ at the late Pastor Adetunji’s Lagos home, followed by a Christian Wake in Ado-Ekiti on August 2. The final burial and thanksgiving service will take place on August 3 at Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Igbala, Idolofin Zonal Headquarters, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The reception to celebrate the life of the late engineer and founder of Amafo Group of Companies will be held at AB Foundation Civic Center, Ado Ekiti, on August 3. Pastor (Engineer) Sunday Matthew Adetunji is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Agboola, who is married to the late Pastor Adetunji’s first child, Oluwatoyin, described his father-in-law as an iconic figure whose legacy will be deeply missed. He said, “We will miss his wisdom, guidance, and love, but we take solace in the impact he made on our lives and the lives of those around him.”
