Funeral programs for Sir (Chief) Festus Olapade Adelabu continue tomorrow Wednesday 19th June 2024 with a Christian Wake at St. John’s Catholic Church, Isalu, Iseyin, Oyo state by 5 p.m.
Similarly, a mass for the late community leader and devout Christian who was a father-in-law to a House Of Representatives Member, representing Ibadan North West/South West Federal constituency, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, (Odidiomo), will be held on Thursday 20th June 2024 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Isalu, Iseyin, Oyo State at 10.00 am.
This is contained in a statement released by Tolu Mustapha, special adviser of Media and Public Affairs to the federal lawmaker, Hon. Olajide ‘Odidiomo’ in Ibadan on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the remains of late Sir (Chief) Festus Olapade Adelabu were to be laid to rest during internment immediately after the funeral mass on Thursday at the deceased compound, Malete, Iseyin with only family members expected to be in attendance.
The statement also notes that guests will be entertained the same day at Queens Event Place, Oja Agbe Street, Iseyin – Abeokuta Road, Beside Road Safety office, Iseyin.
Burial arrangements for Sir (Chief) Festus Olapade Adelabu commenced on Sunday 16th June 2024 with a service of songs by the Catholic Brothers Society at Opebi, Ikeja, and another service of songs by Archdiocesan Papal Knights & Papal Medalists.
Sir (Chief) Adelabu, the Asiwaju of Iseyin land, who died at the age of 88, passed away on the 7th of May, 2024.
