Oyo state government has announced renaming of its two institutions for immortalization of citizens who had had values to the state.
The announcement came this evening at the executive council briefing held at the governor’s office, secretariat Ibadan.
Speaking, the Commissioner for Justice, Abiodun Aikomo said the executive council deemed it fit to rename the Saki Polytechnic to Michael Adeniyi Polytechnic, Saki and Oyo state School of Nursing and Midwifery, to Oyo State College for Nursing Sciences in effort to immortalizing dedicated members of the state even in their lifetime, for more exemplary.
Abiodun Aikomo noted that the effect will be forwarded to the Oyo State House of Assembly for approval.
Meanwhile, the state has approved a sum of 600 million for tractorization subsidy for real farmers for food sufficiency in the state.
