The Oyo State Police Command on Thursday paraded embattled former Chairman of Oyo State Park Management System (PMS), Lamidi Mukaila popularly known as Auxiliary for murder, Arms dealing, Armed Robbery, and kidnapping.

Police, a few months ago declared Auxiliary, wanted over his alleged involvement in a series of armed robbery, kidnapping, and murder cases in Oyo State.

But the Department of State Services a few days ago arrested him at about 4:00 pm on Tuesday at his residence in the Olodo area of Ibadan.

Speaking with newsmen at the Command headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Adebola Hamzat said the suspect will be charged in court for offenses he had allegedly committed.

“Exhibits recovered in his possession at his Diamond Hotel residence around Alakia-Isebo Egbeda under Egbeda Local Government Area at the time include one AK-47 Riffle, four (4) AK-47 magazines, Eighty-four (84) live AK-47 Ammunitions, Nineteen (19) pump action riffles, one Barreta Pistol, Seven Cut-to-size Gun, one English made Barrel Gun.

Others are Seven Hundred and twenty-four (724) live cartridges, 25 cutlasses, Seven Jack knives, thirty-three (33) mobile phones, one Samsung Laptop, Charms, One Mazda Bus, One Toyota Sienna, Cash sum of Three Million, Four Hundred and fifty thousand naira, (N3,450,000.00).

In furtherance of these, a discreet intelligence-led search commenced for the sacked PMS chieftain with the help of technology, and collaborative efforts with Sister Services and Community Policing, many locations were identified, traced, and combed for months until his recent arrest in a concerted effort with our sister services.

“Moving forward, the suspect would be charged to court for offenses committed.

“While the command is thanking the public for providing credible information to curb crime, it has become imperative to affirm to the general public about our resolve to deal decisively with any criminally motivated individual or group who intends to flip the State retrogressively into the historical dark ages of the “Wild West”.
