APC Chairmanship Candidate
Egbeda All Progressives’ Congress Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Bashiru Adeniyi Dabas has faulted the ongoing local government elections in his local government area.
Hon. Dabas said this while expressing his displeasure as he was unable to cast his vote at Ward 9 Unit 001 Koroboto, Egbeda Area of Ibadan, owing to the fact that the OYSIEC officials were yet to surface at the polling centre, till around 2.45pm .
Dabas noted that the OYSIEC under Aare Isiaka Olagunju intentionally disenfranchised him, and plenty of other voters who had shown up in their number from 7am to perform their civic right today in the area.
Meanwhile, the Egbeda APC Chairmanship candidate said he was ready to challenge OYSIEC in court, afterwards.
Recall, the local government election was slated to hold on Saturday 27th April, 2024 between 8am and 3pm.
