Makinde Commiserates With Odidiomo Over Father’s Death, Condoles With Pa Adetore, Olorunsogo LG Over Vice Chair Candidate’s Demise

Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has commiserated with the Member representing Ibadan South-West/Ibadan North-West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dhikrullah Adedeji Stanley Olajide, over the passing away of his father, Alhaji Abdullateef Akin-Tokunbo Olajide.

Governor Makinde sympathized with Hon. Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo and prayed to God to grant eternal rest to the soul of Pa Olajide and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Alhaji Olajide, the father of Hon. Olajide, passed away in the early hours of Friday.

The governor said: “I express my condolences to Hon. Dhikrullah Adedeji Stanley Olajide, whose father, Alhaji Akin-Tokunbo Olajide, passed away earlier today.

“The death of a loved one always brings pain to the heart, but as human beings all we can do is to submit to the will of God and pray for the repose of their souls.

“It is my prayer that God grants eternal rest to the soul of Baba.”

The Governor, in a separate press release also condoles with a foremost chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Pa Jacob Gbadebo Adetoro, on the death of his son and a vice chairmanship candidate of the PDP in the forthcoming LG election, Mr. Adegbite Adetoro.

The governor equally commiserated with the PDP family in Olorunsogo Local Government, Igbeti, noting that Gbite’s death is a sad and personal loss to him and the PDP in the state.

Governor Makinde, who described the deceased as a promising young man with a lot of potential, prayed to God to comfort the Adetoro family and to halt such sad occurrences.

He said: “I want to express my condolences to our leader, Pa. Jacob Adetoro, over the death of his son, Gbite, who was our party’s vice chairmanship candidate in Olorunsogo Local Government.

“Gbite was a promising young man with a lot of potential; he was one of the future leaders of our great party in Olorunsogo Local Government and Oyo State.

“His death is a sad and personal loss to me and to our great party. It is my prayer that God Almighty will grant repose to his soul and comfort his family”, the governor said.
