It was a moment of celebration as people from all walks of life converged in Ibadan on Thursday
The Oyo State 2023 New Nigeria People’s Party candidate, Engineer Olukayode Popoola, Babaloja General Of Oyo State, Alhaji YK Abass, Iyaloja General Of Oyo State, Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje, traditional leaders and other well-meaning citizens gathered in their numbers at the Ilaji Hotels and Resorts to celebrate the 95th Birthday of the father of the chairman of Ilaji Hotels, Dr. Dotun Sanusi.
The event was held on Thursday at the Ilaji Events Centre, Akanran in Ibadan.
Speaking, 2023 NNPP Gubernatorial Candidate, Chief. Engr. Dr. Olukayode Popoola expressed his delight in being at the event.
Popoola noted that goodwills including humility, philanthropy, and selflessness in Ilaji Boss, Dotun Sanusi were realized to have been learned from his father.
While acknowledging that, he appreciated the Ibadanland for endowing the likes of Ilaji Hotels’ Boss, Dotun Sanusi, and his father, who may have been raised in poverty, describing Dotun Danusi as a “true destiny child and never a bastard”.
In his reaction, the Babaloja General of Oyo State, Alhaji YK Abbas congratulated the founder of Ilaji Hotels and Resort, Dotun Sanusi for making it in his parents’ lifetime.
“If God is pleased with one, then one’s parents will be pleased with one”, he said.
YK Abass maintained the philanthropy nature of Dotun Sanusi was likened to the late Ariyibi Adedibu and the late Arisekola, adding that positive characterizations of Dotun Sanusi are never ruled out of prayers ever said by Chief Sanusi’s father.
” It is my prayer good wishes of Dotun Sanusi over his children will come through. No sickness nor backwardness for you”, Abass prayed.
Meanwhile, the Iyaloja General of Oyo State, Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje described Chief Sanusi’s father as a humanitarian, ever-peace-loving, prayer warrior, and good fortune sayer.
In his remark, the founder, of Ilaji Hotels and Resorts, Engineer Dotun Sanusi appreciated everyone present at his father’s birthday, and promised to continue his philanthropy, while he established a free elder medical center in the state for the treatment of the aged.
