As Nigerians grapple with a poor economy amidst insecurity, banditry, and kidnappings, experts have called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to direct immediate vacation of checkpoints and policemen / Military ranks and files, from the nation’s road to reducing kidnapping Insecurities
A close anonymous source, who hinted newsmen in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state on Saturday maintained that the slogan initiated by many young Nigerians, fondly, called “www”, (Wealth Without Work) has permeated through the ranks of the roadblock duty holding Junior officers, with implications of increased tendencies of insecurity and kidnapping in the country.
The anonymous noted that many of the perpetrators of insecurity and Kidnappings have reportedly been dressing in either Police or Army uniforms.
He added that many of these bad elements when sighted at roadblocks mounted on the road, suddenly come upon their victims and off to remote sites.
” Many fact findings have indicated that kidnappers have grown wings to the extent that, without any remorse, they dress in either Police or Army uniforms, they disguise as genuine officers at roadblocks, all over the country.”
The anonymous maintained that it is high time the Government looked at the continued Narrations that many members of the roadblock junior officers have become part and parcel of the Kidnapping rings
The anonymous expert stressed further that, statements of debriefed kidnap victims as to their expectations whilst in Captivity, modus operandi, which are almost always pointers to the saddening realization that, it is increasingly becoming hard to discern who is who.
Equally, the sophistry, and competency of the kidnappers in weapon and weaponry usage cannot be pointers to the fact that these days Kidnappers are well-regimen trained.
The anonymous called the president of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to direct the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun, and Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General, Taoreed Lagbaja to direct all their men off the road, and total removal checkpoints across the Nation as to sweep past insecurity in the country.
The anonymous noted that the president and governors in the country should sit against insecurity for an improved economic boost target, while regional local securities, such as the South West Security Nigeria Network, codename Amotekun, could be the stopgap
Meanwhile, the anonymous who believed poverty and unemployment remained factors of insecurity and Kidnapping in the country, called the present led Administration to institute massive green evolution with statutory rules to every citizen, irrespective of status, or affiliation for food abundance and socio-economic development of the country.

The anonymous also finally suggested invocation of rest CAPITAL PUNISHMENT, the Death sentence should be urgently brought back.
Nothing that, crime psychologists the world over have found out that, criminals are afraid of losing their lives( Death) to be able to enjoy their loot.
Then, they would become less, if they knew that the law would be drastic and conclusive on them.
The expert reminiscenced on the years of the yore when Homicidal criminals were always tied to stake on firing lines.
Anonymous also suggested the convocation of speedy SPECIAL COURTS for violent crimes, with time frames, just like the Election tribunals. The conventional SNAIL SPEED Courts wouldn’t work.
Anonymous posited that, should these suggestions be as usual taken with levity, the spate of Kidnapping, and hostage takings would become terrifying in the months to come.
A dangerous problem needs a dangerous solution.
So many people have come to see Kidnappings as a lucrative business, that turns people into multi-millionaires overnight and it will take the STERN approach to rein them in.
