As APC Avant Garde Receives LP Decampees, Egbeda APC Receives Accord Returnees

The road is becoming clearer for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the Egbeda Local Government Area of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State as principal stakeholders of the Accord Party members were received for an overwhelming victory ahead of the April 2024 Local Government Elections

The APC local government party Chairman, Comrade Olawale, and other party chieftains, while receiving the returnees on Tuesday 16th January 2024 at the Party Secretariat, Opposite, Toun Hospital, Iwo Road commended Decampees’ decision to return to its political roots.

The Chairman noted that the return of the Accord decamped to the APC fold is described as the best decision, noting that Accord Party in the wake of the 2023 Gubernatorial Election which flagbearer, the now minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has indicated that better democracies can only be enjoyed in the All Progressives Congress in the country.

In separate goodwill messages, APC Chieftains, including Hon. Billy Ogundele, Hon. Murewa Adeboje, Akin Oke, Muyibudeen Olalekan, Sodiq Akeem, Alh. Gani Alade is among the newly decamped to remain fully committed to the Party as the April 2024 Local Government Election is three months away.

In his reaction, one of the decampees, Alh. Animashaun Agbedo called every new and returning member of the Egbeda APC to remain focused, committed, and united, while each member should be ready to deliver his polling booth, just as mandated during the re-election of the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency member, Hon. Akin Alabi and other serving senators of the Party, across the country in the 2023 General Elections.

Recall, that the support group of the Egbeda APC, Avant Garde admitted ten (10) Labour Party members, including the son of a former House of Representatives member, Kunle Fagbure, Gbenga Rotimi, Adviser, among others in its December critical meeting held at the Party Secretariat, Iwo Road, Ibadan.
