The Egbeda All Progressives’ Congress, Support group, Avant Garde has commended the effort of the minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu over the total restructuring of the nation’s power sector.
The support group, in a statement made available on Monday evening, following a courtesy visit of the minister to the governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, co-signed by its Chairman, Temitayo Olatunji, and deputy secretary, Rasaq Akinrinade.
The group noted that the performance of the minister has indicated that he is ready for the job, as the governor of the state equally attested to it at the Executive Chamber, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan that Chief Adelabu merits being recommended as a fellow of an Engineering Body.
” Even me, that studied Electrical Engineering… I can see that Oloye Adelabu, who is an Economist, now merits being recommended for a fellow of an Engineering Body. Thank God, students of Engineering are here…”, Governor Makinde said.
The statement, while commending the high spirit of the state governor, Seyi Makinde for endorsing the present-led administration which has signed the 2023 Electricity Act, believes this will enable every state to commence distribution of electricity, and supervision of the nation’s electricity distribution company, known as DISCO for more power sustainability; called the Minister of Power to make sure his promise of gradual, steady and stable electricity is fully made a reality.
Meanwhile, the Egbeda APC support group, while promising its total support and allegiance to the Tinubu-led administration and office of the minister, called the minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu to extend dividends of democracy to the entire wards of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in terms of job opportunities for the teeming youths and aged in the Egbeda Local Government Area, Oyo state and Nigeria, as a whole.
