The Support of the All Progressives’ Congress, APC, in the Egbeda Local Governement Area of Oyo State, Avant Garde has welcomed the Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu Penkelemesi, 2023 Egbeda/Ona- Ara House of Representatives’ Candidate, Hon. Kazeem Akinola as they wholeheartedly defected from Accord Party to the All Progressives’ Congress in Oyo State last Friday.
The support group made the welcome during its critical monthly meeting held on Sunday at the local government party secretariat, opposite Toun Hospital, Iwo Road, Ibadan.
In its meeting presided by chairman, Avant Garde,Egbeda APC, Comrade Temitayo Olatunji, the support group noted defection of great personalities such as the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, Hon. Kazeem Akinola is an indication that the Party has all its takes to move the country to a socio-economic sustainable development level.

Welcoming other high flying media practitioners into its fold as bonafide members, having dumped Labour Party, the group unanimously enjoined the newly defected great politicians to form synergy with the leaders in Oyo State, Nigeria and at various wards and zones towards enabling the Party’s victory in the forthcoming 2024 local government polls and as well the 2027 General Elections.
The Group maintained that the new members are in the right home, while support, co-operation and handwork be made a huge priority.
The Avant Garde Chairman noted that the group is ready to microphone Party’s good agenda to every citizen of Oyo State for its usually society driven projects from 2024 at the grassroots.
” Every member of this support group is for the good of our state and to do everything possible to establish functional local administration which is expected to begin from next year April when our Party wins in the forthcoming local government elections through which better functionality of local government comes to being”
Meanwhile, the group implored members of the entire party to remain focused, resolute, diligent as the April 2024 Local government election approaches.
Reacting, new Avant Garde members pledged to support the group and the Party locally and nationally towards good democratic governance.
New Avant Garde members include son of a former 1983 House of Representative member(Lagelu South) and Ex-Egbeda Council chair, Kunle Fagbure, Gbenga Rotimi, a globally reverred media practitioner.
