The Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists, NACJ, has felicitated Mr. Dare Adekanmbi, a Senior Editor with the Nigerian Tribune newspaper as the Special Adviser on Media, Communications and Public Relations to the the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Services, FIRS, Dr. Zacch Adedeji.
A statement issued by the Public Relations Officer, PRO of the association, Com. Adeola Badru, on behalf of the Chairman, Com. ‘Lekan Sobowale on Saturday, expressed its delight at the appointment, which it described as “well-deserved” and a testament to Mr. Adekanbi’s “vast experience and expertise in the field of journalism.”
The association noted that Mr. Adekanbi’s wealth of knowledge and expertise will be invaluable to the FIRS, and that his appointment will help to further improve the agency’s public relations efforts, while highlighting his extensive experience in the media industry, particularly his work with the Nigerian Tribune newspaper where he served as a senior editor.
NACJ also commended Dr. Adedeji for appointing Mr. Adekanbi, whom it described as a “seasoned journalist and astute media professional.”
In conclusion, the NACJ reiterated its commitment to supporting Mr. Adekanbi in his new role, and to fostering a strong working relationship between the association and the FIRS.
The NACJ further expressed its optimism that Mr. Adekanbi will bring a new dimension to the FIRS’ public relations efforts, and that his appointment will be beneficial to both the agency and the Nigerian public.
The association also called on Mr. Adekanbi to continue to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in his new role.
While the association also pledged to continue providing accurate and reliable information to the public, in line with its mandate as the umbrella body for Nigerian Christian journalists working in the field of communication, it however, ended with a message of gratitude to Mr. Adekanbi for his service to the association and to the profession of journalism.
“NACJ wishes Mr. Adekanbi the very best in his new position, and expressed its hope for a long and productive relationship between the FIRS and the media in Nigeria,” the statement concluded.
