He, however, did not give further details on the circumstances that led to their action.

Considered one of the richest Fuji artistes in Nigeria, Taiye Currency who is yet to officially address the issue has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Ilorin.

At only 49, his first son, Yusuf who got married in 2018 has already made him a grandfather.

This won’t be the first-time band members of popular Fuji acts will abscond whole on a musical tour in Europe or America.

Only a month ago, two band members of Fuji maestro, Wasiu Ayinde Marshall popularly known as KWAM1, his lead guitarist and keyboardist, absconded while they were on a musical tour in the United Kingdom without a trace.

The singer however reported the incident to the UK police.

The same can also be said of Ebenezer Fabiyi Obey and juju maestro, King Sunday Adegeye aka Sunny Ade. The two men have also been victims of their band members absconding while on a musical tour in Europe and America
