An Anonymous has revealed that Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje is a real candidate to turn Iyaloja-General of Oyo State.
This was revealed in as there continues to hold noises over the right person to be installed and inducted by the governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, before the close of 2023.
The source who pleaded anonymity on Monday said Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje as popularly voted by seven clusters out of the nine eligible clusters within the market and traders’ council, noted that the Iyaloja-General has been known as a trditional trader, with her outlets majorly at the Bodija International Market, aside other markets in the state.
The source maintained that Princess Abeo Nurudeen was never known to acquire any outlet, let alone known as a traditional trader in the state, as all these years, no single outlet was known traditional with her, aside one recently occupied at Bodija, where one of the Mogajis, Mogaji Oladoja visited her few days ago to congratulate her on new outlet.
The source added that it is high time the state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde came to present the certificate of Iyaloja-General to Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje in that there is total silence on market disunity and undue noises from Princess Abeo Nurudeen who claims been appointed by late Alaafin Oba Adeyemi and Late Olubadan, a defence that does not have its root in a democratic practice.
According to the source, Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje was said to be second in command(Otun Iyaloja) to Late Madam Kola Daisi, who is traditionally due to be promoted as the Iyaloja-General automatically.
“Where was Abeo Nurudeen, then?” She does not belong to this nomenclature, either”, the source said.
The Anonymity maintained that Princess Abeo Nurudeen claim of digital marketing is a scam and a doorway to dwindling the entire market council in Oyo State, especially the traditional market traders who have been practising for donkey years.
“Is Abeo telling our mothers in the state market that they are unwise maintaining traditional market, while her own digital market, as Konga Hub, and the likes, is the best and must be a practice. What a pride, arrogance and rudeness!”, the source added.
The source said Abeo Nurudeen should have a rethink over her decision as she has shown the world she is a power monger.
Earlier, Abeo Nurudeen had said in a widely circulated video that “she’s not a marketer in Ibadan, she was brought from Lagos where she practices tailoring to come and claim the office of Iyaloja General of Oyo state, she also claimed that she’s into digital marketing”, a practice which cannot hold swing in traditional market setting especially noting the fact that she’s been inconsistent and cannot be trusted to hold the office” the source said.
“The late Alaafin Lamidi Adeyemi is a well respected monarch who is known to have high regard for traditional institutions and would never attempt to compromise any traditional arrangement”
“She does not have any defined vision or plans to lead Oyo traders to their desired place among traders in the state”
Meanwhile, the anonymous also called on every blogger, and supporter of Abeo Nurudeen to desist from promoting lawlessness, while culture tradition, formality be respected, even in the eye of democracy.
