The newly turbaned Oyo State Muslim Patron, Alhaji Nureni Adebayo Akanbi has called Nigerians to avoid discord at all levels.
The Arole Oluyole and Muslim Patron in Oyo State made the call on Saturday after his turbanning as the new Muslim Patron in the state at a reception held at Jogor Centre, Ring Road, Ibadan.
Alhaji Akanbi noted that the social disorder in the country occurs due to lack of co-operation and unity.
The State Muslim Patron said only through total co-operation, there could be a huge progress.
Alhaji Akanbi who said the present administration in Oyo State led by Seyi Makinde emerged in 2019 through focus and co-operation among different social and religious groups, adding his doggedness usually made people regard him a ‘tough’ personality, insisting that the value must be embraced by every citizen for a desired goal.
Meanwhile, the new State muslim patron appreciated the seyi Makinde government, including its deputy, Barr. Bayo Lawal, security agencies, muslim community, other spiritual faiths, media and legal practitioners for setting him on an unimaginable feat, promised to use the religious office for total peace and progress of the muslim community in Oyo State.
