SEASON II: Oyo Commissioners, Lawmakers, Prince FM Boss, Odunlade, Others To Grace Olawale Ogunbusola School Competition

The Commissioner, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Oyo State, Prof. Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu is set to take the lead lecture at the Second edition of Journalist Olawale Ogunbusola School Competition.

The event slated for Thursday 2nd November, 2023 would hold at National Museum of Unity, Aleshinloye,Ibadan, Oyo State by 8am in the morning.

The event as annually approves by the Oyo State Government, gathers ten to twenty schools across five local government areas of the state, dwells on exposing students of junior and senior schools academically for competence and composure, equally enables high profiled personalities with social effects to be awarded, would be moderated by acting head of news, Inspiration 100.5FM, James Odediran and former IBR92.5FM’s presenter, Tunde Olawuyi.

The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu would be delivering a keynote lecture titled ” Sustaining Educational Standard in Oyo State”, as well as the deputy director, Programmes, Voice of Nigeria, Mrs Olubunmi Oshoteku with the topic ” Rape: Curbing the menace in Nigeria” in front of 150 participants.

The quiz Competition/Award which would have in attendance students of Community High School, Airport, Isabatudeen Girl’s High School, General Gas, Ibadan, Boy’s High School, Oke Bola, T.L Oyesina Monatan, Bishop Phillip’s High School, Loyola College, Holy Trinity, Army Barrack’s School, Aseyori Schools and Community High School, Isebo, aged between 12 and 14 years respectively, test their knowledge in English, Mathematics, and general knowledge in a multiple-choice exams, while winners be awarded accordingly.

Meanwhile, Oyo Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Miss Wasilat Adegoke, Prince 89.7 FM Founder, Prince Babatunde Balogun, Registrar, (Exams)Tescom, Mr Johnson Awodeji, Benevolence Publishers,Dele Akinbode, Henley and Ascot Company, Lagos State, a globally reverred artist, Prince Tunde Odunlade, Naijatodaynews Publisher, Prince Adetunji Fabode, Crest91.1FM’s correspondent, Olufolajimi Akinnawo, TVC Camera reporter, Adewale Ojedokun, among others, would be awarded for their positive societal contributions.

In his chat with newsmen, convener of the event, Journalist Olawale Ogunbusola said
winners in the 1st Season of the Competition, from Government College, Apata, Ifesowapo High School, Wofun, Estate High School, Akobo, Community High School, Ajagba, Ibadan, Olayiipo Alayande School of Science, would formally receive their world class prizes as promised in the year 2022.

Olawale Ogunbusola who assured of better 2023 outing, appreciated his sponsors, all media stations, organizations, individuals, and corporate bodies, including D Batik Gallery Studio, Spring fort Investment, Henley and Ascot, Oyo Lawmakers, for a huge support, called every participant to be law-abiding in and outside the venue of the event.
