Christian Journalists Hold First Retreat In Ibadan, Saturday

Christian journalists in Oyo State will on Saturday, October 28, 2023 hold a retreat in Ibadan, the state capital.

The 1-day retreat themed: “The Role of Christian Journalists In Ensuring Peaceful National Co-Existence,” will hold at the Government House Chapel, Agodi-Gate, Ibadan.

According to a statement issued by Com. Adeola Badru, discussants at the retreat will include the Executive Director, Media Centre Development, Mr. ‘Lekan Otufodunrin; Deputy Director, Radio Nigeria, Ibadan Zonal Station, Reverend. Niyi Dahunsi; former National President, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Mr. Lanre Ogundipe and Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Oyo State Chapter, Apostle Joshua Sola Akinyemiju, (JP).

The statement further disclosed that the Special Guest of Honour is Reverend Idowu Ogedengbe, the
Executive Assistant to the Oyo State Governor.

“Others are the Guest Minister, Pastor Benjamin Akanmu, the immediate-past CAN Chairman, Oyo State Chapter and Regional Superintendent, Christ Apostolic Church, Ogunbanjo Regional Headquarters, Ondo State; Chaplain, Government House Chapel, Pastor Layi Adisa; Deputy Chaplain, Government House Chapel, Pastor Emmanuel Akanmu while the Chief Host is Com. ‘Lekan Sobowale.

The statement, however, urged Christian journalists in the state to be in attendance, as the retreat will feature breakthrough, salvation, deliverance, healing and many more.
