A former President Olusegun Obasanjo has called Nigerians to embrace an all emcompassing democracy.
Obasanjo made the call while commissioning 34.85KM Oyo-Iseyin Road today .
The former president noted that the country despite its prosperity tendencies, poverty ravages, adding that through proactiveness of political leaders in agriculture, the country would in no long return to its abundant primitive glory.
President Obasanjo maintained that it would be too worrisome to have a poverty oriented democracy, stressed democracy the does not promote security, sound infrastructure, good health, world class education should be discouraged henceforth in the world.
Earlier at the commissioning, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde said essence of the Oyo- Iseyin Road building is to link up the five geo-political zones of the state, stressing that his administration would complete all ongoing rehabilitating roads across the State for better socio-economic development.
