The management of the European American University will on Saturday bestow an honorary Doctoral degree on a serving member of the House of Representatives, representing Ibarapa East /Ido Federal Constituency, Oyo State, Hon. Aderemi Oseni.
European American University awards honourary degrees to people who have distinguished themselves by academic or creative achievement, and whose activities have been of notable benefit to humanity.
Thus, the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), would be conferred with the degree of Doctor of Science honoris causa (D.Sc) in Engineering and Project Management.
According to a statement made available to newsmen by his media aide, Idowu Ayodele on Friday, the recognition is a testament to the Ibadan-born business magnate’s outstanding leadership and contributions to the field of engineering and project management over the past 30 years.
The statement added that the lawmaker, who is also the Chief Executive Officer, Step Development Limited, a wholly indigenous outfit, that is fully engaged in construction engineering and Sedabuk Oil&Gas Group of Companies has demonstrated exceptional expertise and dedication to his chosen career, noting that Oseni’s visionary leadership and commitment to excellence have undoubtedly played a significant role not only in this well-deserved recognition alone but as well as other previous honours.
“No doubt, Hon. Aderemi Oseni has made an indelible impact in engineering, especially in the construction and infrastructure development of the Nigerian economy; thus the honour is a reflection of his hard work, perseverance, and innovative approach”, it concluded.
Meanwhile, the event is billed for Saturday at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCI), Conference Hall, Alausa, Ikeja; Lagos at 10:00 in the morning.
