A lawmaker representing Ibadan Southwest/Northwest federal constituency, Hon Dhikirulahi Adedeji Olajide “Odidi Omo”, has extended his felicitations to the people of Ogbomoso on the final selection of their new King, Prince Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye.
Odidi Omo, while congratulating the sons and daughters of Ogbomoso in anticipation of Prince Ghandi’s era, commends the Oyo state government for adhering to due process in selecting a deserving Soun of Ogbomoso. He expresses optimism that the reign of the Soun-elect will usher in peace and development for the ancient town.
“It is my pleasure to join in celebrating the people of Ogbomoso on the final selection of their new King and to congratulate the new Soun-elect, Prince Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye, on his ascension to the throne of his forebears.
The long-awaited moment has brought blessings to Ogbomoso’s sons and daughters. It’s not just a King; Ogbomoso has gained a worthy traditional ruler, a King endowed with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to lead his people towards greatness.
I believe that Prince Ghandi will leverage his extensive experience to further the development of Ogbomosoland and foster harmony, understanding, and tolerance among his people.
“All who know Prince Ghandi, including myself, are convinced that he will fulfill his responsibilities with the wisdom and integrity that his illustrious ancestors have exemplified.”
Odidi Omo also acknowledges the non-interference and transparency of the Oyo state government, led by Governor Seyi Makinde, throughout the selection process. He believes that the due process followed will pave the way for the greatness of Ogbomosoland.”
Recall, the Oyo state government had last week Friday after a lengthy and lawful process, approved and announced the appointment of Prince Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye as the new Soun-elect of Ogbomosoland.
