Oyo NNPP Suspends State Chairman Over Anti-Party Activities, Misappropriation Of Funds

The state executive of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP in Oyo State has suspended the chairman of the party, Mr. Sesan Adegbola.

The suspension followed alleged anti-party activities and financial misappropriation by the embattled state chairman of the party, Sesan Adegbola.

In a press briefing in Ibadan, Oyo State on Monday the state executive also accused the state chairman, Adegbola of negligence and absenteeism.

The Oyo NNPP state executives said the suspension of the state chairman was necessary after he was found guilty of all allegations.

The suspension letter, which was signed by the state executive and all 33 local government chairmen after a meeting presided by Prince Ridwan Afolabi the Oyo Central senatorial chairman reads:

FROM OFFICE

The above subject matter refers to MR. ADEGBOLA ADESESAN- the state chairman is hereby charged with the following anti-party allegations:

That he is always found in insubordination where he attends illegal meetings, all in the name of the party, without informing other state executive committee members.

That he misappropriated party funds during the last electioneering campaigns in the state.

That he always comes up with unilateral decisions concerning the party without due consultation with the relevant party structures in the state.

That he is conspicuously absent at the last party local government party primaries held at Iseyin.

Hence given these aforementioned allegations the Chairman MR. ADEGBOLA ADESESAN is hereby suspended from the party after a unanimous vote of no confidence passed on Adegbola, with suspension taking immediate effect, and MR. SUNDAY ADEOSUN, Oyo North senatorial chairman from the same zone is the acting Chairman.
