Extra Judicial Killings: Anthony Ogunsola In Attendance As Oyo Assembly Visits Iwajowa On Fact-finding Mission

• Pays Condolence Visit To Quadri’s Family

The Oyo State House of Assembly Ad-hoc Committee on Security on Wednesday visited Iwere-Ile, the home town of the late Olanrenwaju Quadri, who was murdered by the patrol team of the Nigerian Customs Service.

The patrolling Customs officials killed Quadri while others sustained various degrees of injuries in a callous act that took place on Friday, June 23rd, at Iwere-Ile, Iwajowa local government area of Oyo state.

Worried by the dastardly act, the House Committee swung into action to investigate the act and bring justice to the victim’s family and the officer (s) involved in the rough show that claimed the life of the young man, Quadri.

The Oyo State House Committee on Security was led by the Chief Whip of the House, Hon Gbenga Oyekola, representing Atiba State Constituency to pay a condolence visit to the family of late Quadri, who was killed by the Nigerian Customs.

Sadly, the committee were told that wife of the slain Quadri, who was pregnant at the time of the attack, gave birth to a baby girl on 24th July.

Recall that the House Committee on Security had on last week Tuesday, invited the Nigerian Customs Service, Oyo State Command, to unravel the mystery behind the unprovoked attack that led to the killing of Quadri, who was shot by a trigger-happy Customs officer during a patrol.

The Oyo State Zonal Controller General of Customs, Mr Jayeoba B. led O C Customs, Iwere-Ile Zonal Office, Mr C.K Awogbemi and other officers before the security committee of the Assembly.

Hon. Anthony Ogunsola, a member, representing Iwajowa State Constituency guided the Assembly Security Committee on a door-to-door courtesy visit to key stakeholders in Iwere-Ile community in the presence of the Executive Chairman of Iwajowa local government, Hon. Jelili Oyinloye and others.

The House Committee visited the DPO of Iwere-Ile division, the palace of HRM, Oba Rev John Odedokun Ayinla 111, the Oniwere Ile and the family of Olanrenwaju today on a fact findings and condolence visit.
