The Lawmaker representing Iwajowa State Constituency at Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Anthony Ogunsola has enjoined all adherents of Islam to have firm belief in oneness of Allah as those in Iwajowa Local Government and others across the world celebrate new Hijrah Year 1445 A.H.
Hon. Ogunsola made this admonition in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen at his country home, Ayetoro-Ile, in Iwajowa LG.
He said, the new Hijrah Year 1445 A.H began on Wednesday, Muharram 1, 1445 AH that is equivalent with July 19, 2023 of the Christian Era (C E).
The Ex-Chairman of Nigeria Union of Teachers(NUT) in Iwajowa Chapter enjoined Muslims to hold firmly with oneness of Allah as one of the great pillars of Islam.
The lawmaker said that the new year offered all the opportunity of spiritual rebirth and closeness to Allah through devotion and obedience that would be vindicated in belief in Allah’s oneness.
Ayetoro-Ile-born Lawmaker reiterated that firm commitment and belief in worship of Allah would no doubt make one’s life to be pious and exemplary.
He however called on Muslims to use the occasion of new Islamic year to pray fervently for success of leaders across all capacities.
Hon. Ogunsola added that, nothing is more important than prayers, as Oyo State and Nigeria at large need prayers to triumph on all challenges ravaging the nooks and crannies of the country.
In another vein, the lawmaker reiterated his commitment to promises made at electioneering campaigns.
Adding that he shall not feel reluctant to work on effective representation and good laws that would turn around the wellbeing of his constituents and others.
He asked for fervent prayers and pieces of advice that would enhance his success on current legislative assignment that he is being entrusted with.
