Tinubu’s ECOWAS Chair: Square Peg In Square Hole — Sabiganna of Iganna Kingdom Congratulates President

The Sabiganna of Iganna Kingdom and Chairman Traditional Council in Iwajowa Local Government, Area of Oyo State , HRM Oba Saliu Oyemonla Azeez, Agunloye 1V has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s emergence as the new Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) as a square peg in a square hole.

This is contained in a congratulatory statement which he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Tuesday at his palace in Iganna, Iwajowa LG.

It would be recalled that Tinubu’s emergence was announced at the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS in Guinea Bissau on Sunday.

The president who had attended his first official engagement within the African continent since he assumed office, took over from President Umaro Embalo of Guinea Bissau as ECOWAS chair.

The monarch described Tinubu’s emergence as the current chairman of ECOWAS as a square peg in a square hole, whose ability, sagacity and capability would lead the region to greater heights of monumental achievements.

He added that Tinubu’s administrative acumen, experience, economic brilliance and exposure, would no doubt lead ECOWAS to economic development as well as political stability.

The Sabiganna expressed optimism that Tinubu’s leadership skills would help a lot in addressing the various challenges bedevilling the West African region and Africa as a whole.

He however called on member states to throw their weight behind him in order to make his vision, mission and blueprints on the new task a reality.

The monarch equally prayed almighty Allah to bless him with the required knowledge, wisdom, natural instinct and sound health to deliver unprecedentedly.

Finally, he urged Nigerians home and in diaspora to support reforms being introduced by Tinubu’s administration in the best interest of socio-economic recovery of Nigeria .
