The Senator representing Oyo central Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Yunus Abiodun Akintunde has assured his constituents of the coming life changing opportunities that his administration will incur on them if they exercise a little patience as he is working assiduously to making sure that his campaign promises are achieved.
Senator Yunus Abiodun Akintunde who gave the assurance at his inaugural reception held at Labamba Hotel on Saturday, July 8, 2023, noted that he made a promise to the good people of Oyo Central Senatorial District, and that he would uphold knowing full well that as he begins his course as their representative at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, he is bent on attracting meaningful development to the district.
He affirmed of his administration readiness to ensure that no stone is left unturned as the betterment of his people remained his utmost priority.
He disclosed that the leadership of the 10th Assembly of the Nigerian Senate led by Sen Godswill Obot Akpabio would do all it can to ensure that it’s periodic development programs gets to Oyo central Senatorial District, saying that the present administration of the Senate would not forsake them.
Senator Yunus Abiodun Akintunde thanked the good people of Oyo Central Senatorial District for standing by him throughout the electioneering period which propelled him to victory in the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly polls.
He promised to work diligently by making sure that the main reason for his election is achieved, even as he vowed not to disappoint them throughout his reign.
Recalling on some of the political leaders who helped to nurtured his political career in Oyo state, he expressed satisfaction to the former governors of the state, His Excellency late lam Adesina, His Excellency, late Alao Akala and His Excellency, late Isiaka Ajimobi, and His Royal Majesty, Iku Baba Yeye, whom he noted were the brain behind his uprightness within and outside his political journey.
Appealing to his constituents to be patient with the current President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, the Senator assured of a level playing ground for all in the country, pointing out that the President is aware of the plight of the citizens of the country and would stop at nothing until their demands are settled.
He beseeched everyone present to give his administration, that of the state government and President Tinubu all the possible support with a view that the betterment of Nigerians remains a collective effort snd not individual.
Speaking on behalf of those present during the Inaugural reception, a participant, Ibraheem Rahmon, said they were amazed with the leadership prowess of Senator Yunus Abiodun Akintunde, whom he described as a perfect gentleman with leadership calling, saying that they were optimistic of a better and prosperous Oyo Central Senatorial District under the leadership of their esteemed Senator.
Speaking further, he appealed with the Senator to ensure that all his campaign promises are met, noting that the good people of the district were graciously looking up to him for the best, even as he prayed Allah to grant the Senator the needed wisdom, knowledge and understanding to pilot the affairs of the district to the utmost expectation.
