Ilaji Resorts CEO, Dotun Sanusi Hails Makinde’s Boldness On Actualization Of Chieftaincy Reform

The proprietor Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts, Engr. Dotun Sanusi has commended Governor Seyi Makinde on his firm adherence to path of justice and fairness on Ibadan Chieftaincy Reform, which eventually culminated in elevation of high chiefs to crowned monarchs.

Dotun Sanusi, who is also known as Otun Apesinola of Ibadanland showered this encomiums on Makinde while featuring on popular Radio Programme in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

The Mogaji Olugbade Compound, Oja’aba, Ibadan, described Makinde as a courageous, potential and futuristic leader whose stance on due process and complete compliance with justice led to actualization of Ibadan Chieftaincy Reform.

Dotun Sanusi maintained that, the step taken by Governor was quite different from that of 2017 while late Governor Ajimobi took unilateral decision but this was done by Olubadan and Olubadan-in.Council and eventually approved by the Governor.

Ibadan based business tycoon disclosed that, elevation of high chiefs to crowned monarchs would unequivocally enhance privilege and opportunity to be on same page with other monarchs and entitle to same benefits.

He maintained that benefits and other gratifications can’t be easily attained on high chiefs but on kingship status.

Dotun Sanusi however threw his weight behind the chieftaincy reform, affirming that he was on same page with Makinde and actively participated in procedural arrangements that gave birth to elevation of 10 high chiefs in Ibadan to beaded crowned monarchs.

He commended the Governor and Oyo State House of Assembly, for their firm compliance with due process that allowed an hitch free possibility of the coronation.

He felicitated the new monarchs in Ibadanland and however charged them to see to the development of their respective domains and inhabitants.
