A renowned group under the banner of Okeogun for Justice and Development(OJD) has cautioned Ibadan against setting Okeogun and other zones at conflictual position with them, over their alleged clandestine opposition to the rumoured nomination of an iseyin born Legal Luminary, Ahmed Raji (SAN) as a minister.

The caution was contained in a statement signed by the duo of Alhaji Sulaimon Odugbemi and Mr Jare Adebiyi, who are the Coordinator and Secretary to the group.

According to the statement, “the learned lawyer, who is a philanthropist of unmatchable status has a track record that qualifies him for that consideration in all fronts”.

“The question to ask is whether Okeogun is subservient to Ibadan having consistently contributed our own quotas to every political dispensation as a reliable bloc”.

They added, “if care is not taken, doing things that will portray us as a disunited state when it comes to rationing patronage can be very counterproductive”.

” Everyone is entitled to his/her personal opinion but words are like eggs, as such that are expressively pronounced are irreversible .Once it is Oyo state, whoever has the rare opportunity of consideration should be rallied round for a result -oriented performance”.

“Ahmed Raji is a vibrant personality who has touched a limitless number of people in a borderless manner, having such a person in a position of authority and responsibility formally will surely be of immense impact on the society”.

“Whatever that is good for the goose is also good for the gander.
Oke-Ogun loading, as a word is enough for the wise” the group concluded.
