Islamic Group in Oyo State, known as Oneness, Truth and Unity(OTU) has described Turaki Adinni of Oyo State, Engr. Abdul-Jeleel Adekunle Kareem, Mogaji Adanla as a glutton who went to Saudi Arabia on free ticket but whose actions and utterances are calculated to be demoralizing the current government led by Governor Seyi Makinde in Oyo State.
The statement signed by the duo of Mallam Kabeer Olorunwa and Comrade Jimoh Rasaq as Chairman and Secretary was made available to news men.
The statement which is coming in response to Mogaji Adanla’s praise of Oyo Deputy Governor and others in Saudi Arabia over treatment given to Oyo State’s pilgrims at the expense of others was described as an attempt to orchestrate religious division, sentiment and acrimony among the adherents of Islam.
The group described Mogaji Adanla as a glutton and ingrate personality whose current office as leader of Islam can’t be used to bring unity and love to Islam but division of the highest order.
The duo said, Mogaji Adanla who continues to disparage the personalities of other public office holders in Saudi Arabia, however went to holy land on free land.
They said, the only Federal Lawmaker, who is in Saudi Arabia is Hon. Dhikirullahi Olajide OdidiOmo who has in his magnanimity sponsored ten(10) to Hajj and he caters for them.
OdidiOmo also bought and distributed trailer loads of rice and rams to the constituents of his Federal Constituency and beyond.
They however described his actions and character assassinated statements credited to him as a conspiracy and calculated attempt to demoralize the current government and leadership of Makinde in Oyo State.
They maintained that, instead of Mogaji Adanla to use the current period of Eid-al-Adha to call for unity, love and togetherness among adherents of Islam, he is on the path of Shaytoni(devil) to cause division.
The group however reminded him that the purpose of making holy pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia is to engage wholeheartedly in all Hajj but he is rather using his precious time to play politics in holy land.
They asked him to respect himself and highly respected and honoured office he occupies to bring Muslims together under one umbrella.
