Oyo South Senator-Elect, Alli Makes Water Available In Ibadan With Rehabilitation of Abandoned Main Source Borehole

The Senator-elect of Oyo South, Senator Sharafadeen Alli has renovated a long time abandoned borehole at Gege market in Ibadan to address water scarcity in the community.

The project, which is said to have been abandoned for about 5years, Alli in his effort at bringing succor to his constituents rehabilitated the borehole which is expected to provide market men and women of Gege community with steady access to potable drinking water.

They noted that the borehole was constructed for the use of the community by the former Governor of the state, Rashidi Ladoja.

While lauding the development, Alhaji Tajudeen Asamu Ajibola who is the Vice-Chairman of Alapata Gege said, “we are so much excited about this new development, we appreciate our Senator -elect, Akogun Sharafadeen Alli because so many people have promised us but they have failed.

“We made our plights known to him in less than 2weeks and he promised to address it before his inauguration. Surprisingly to us, it has come to be a dream come true. We’ve placed measures in place to make this project withstand the test of time.”

Sakirat Adagbada Aderinto, the 6th Oloje Iyalaje of Ibadanland in her expression stated that “with what Senator Sharafadeen Alli has been doing and what we believe he’s going to do for not just market men and women, we really believe him and we are ready to give him maximum support for him to succeed”.

She appealed to Alli for revolving loan for the Market men and women in not just in Ibadan, but Oyo State as a whole.

Earlier speaking, Akogun Alli who was represented by Comrade Gbenga Elegbede, appreciated the people of the community, pledged to fulfill all his campaign promises to his constituents.

“This is just a privilege for me to share in the pains of my people, I am a grassroot person and I know all what you need. I appreciate you all for your support and I promise not to disappoint you. This is just a tip of the iceberg of what I’ve planned to do, I can assure you that I’ll do more.”

The constituents called on government at all levels, philanthropists and other individuals to emulate Alli for a sustainable quality of life for the people.
