The Propriet or of Agidigbo FM and popular Human Rights Fighter, Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat has described decision made by the Nigeria Police Force to re-arrest him is a sponsored move by the proprietor of Oduduwa University,Ile-Ife,Osun State and Hilton Honors Hotel, Rahmon Adedoyin who allegedly killed an Ibarapa-born Master of Business Administration (MBA) student,Late Timothy Adegoke in the year 2022.
Oriyomi who spoke through his lawyer, Ridwan Adekunle with Naijatodaynew.com on Wednesday explained that the plot against him is formally masterminded by Mr Rahmon Adedoyin who had funded the police to destroy every submitted evidence in contrary of the available evidences.
Agidigbo Founder noted that if he is re-arrested ahead of the judgement day will disable his voice and voices of his fans home and oversees who have shown interest in the case as it appears an element of conspiracy and injustice indication which the country law frowns against in the 1999 Constitution as amended.
Oriyomi revealed that the case hearing was formally slated for May 26 before allegedly being put forward to May 30, 2023.
” I have never killed, raped nor distrupted government’s activities rather preaches peace , unity and progress of Oyo State and Nigeria at large”, he said.
“The hearing is 30 of May,2023 against 26th earlier put forward. The plot is to make me absent at the courtroom so as to stop my appeal and cries to the good people of Nigeria”, he added.
Oriyomi maintained that the plot against him may weaken the efficacy of the judgement ,thus makes it negative on his personality.
” Even I am beginning to doubt the yet to pronounce judgement. They want to do something so that ,if I am being arrested before the day, cries for justice and fair-hearing will have been weakened and therefore make my compatriots fearful, unchallenging against the judgement, peradventure it comes out in my disfavour”
Ridwan stressed that his client had faced series of challenges and threats over the case with funds at stake, saying: “Oriyomi has spent millions of naira over this case. I am stressing here. Police have destroyed so many evidences. They have destroyed so many evidences, so they now want to use those things against him . The same Police with evidences, destroyed them, while my client will be asked where he got his evidences wherewithal”
“Till this present moment, closed Circuit camera surveillance Television (CCTV) could not produce evidence at the court”,Lawyer insisted.
Oriyomi called on good and peace keeping Nigerians to rally round him so as to dig-out fair -hearing, justice and confidence in judiciary in the country, stressed his huge belief and confidence in the Nigeria Police Inspectorate-general, Usman Baba who will restrict his officers from undue treatment, intimidation and harassment henceforth.
Meanwhile, Head of Station, Agidigbo FM, Adebayo Yusuf has cried out for safety of the station’s owner,Oriyomi Hamzat while the entire station lives in fear and despair since last Friday Oriyomi was invited by the Nigeria Police Force, seeming same way the Force Intelligence Bureau of the Nigeria Police Force( FIB )arrested him last year.
