A former Chairman,Association of Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria (APMPN) and the Association of Catholic Medical Practitioners of Nigeria(ACMPN), Philip Njemanze has revealed that Sen. Ike Ekweremadu reaped what he sowed as he was accused of organ trafficking saga.

This statement was made during an interactive session with newsmen in Imo, the capital of Owerri weeks after Ekweremadu was remanded in a UK prison over organ trafficking.

Njemanze explained that he was at a public hearing of a medical health bill which seeks to legalize organ harvesting possible in Nigeria sponsored by 2023 PDP Vice-Presidential Candidate,Ifeanyi Okowa

He noted that the former Senate President, Ike. Ekweremadu, and now Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa and Sen. Chris Ngige were also present at the public hearing as presiding officials.

Njemandu lamented that anyone living in the FCT has no entitlement over his organs as it stands today with the law, saying: ” I know this for sure this billionaire organization from United States co-fund this cartel to take, or buy all federal government hospitals for #2.4 trillion( 6.2 billion US dollars) with 3.2 billion US dollars offered to buy all Catholic Hospitals, but the Bishops refused.”

Njemandu added that the members from the General Electric Company, the biggest in the World being the international organ trafficking cartel funded the National Assembly towards passing a bill that will make all Nigerian hospitals supervised and managed by non-Nigerians.

” I was there physically at the negotiation. There I made this argument directly pointing out section 48, that section 48 makes an exemption impossible ‘You don’t exempt situation in Medicine where you there is no or say the consent is wave. Consent is never wave, it could be transferred to the next of kin but it’s never wave in ant situation. It is part of the declaration, so it is an international treaty, we cannot make an exemption here in Nigeria’ “

” I pointed out the loophole in section 51, you cannot have the medical practitioner , or the medical director of hospital to be the one that authorizes when when organ is taken from someone to be given to another person, so it is wrong , that’s a legal principle”

” I pointed out in section 53 ‘ when you say reasonable cost, or reimbursement, reasonable payment. What does that mean? I s 10 million naira a reasonable payment for kidney? They actually legalize the sale of organ in section 3″

Meanwhile, Njemanze fingered at the federal government permitting receipt of 2 billion dollars from Billgate who offered to build 260 Nigerian hospitals in that the nation’s medical system be overtaken which will never afford Nigerians to study nor practise Medicine, Pharmacy and Laboratory Science, echoing that he warned Ike Ekeweremadu at the public hearing against passage of the law, stressing the law will pang him first among others in Nigeria.

” We were told that Billgate offered 2 billion US dollar to build 260 hospitals in Nigeria. So they want us to name our prize so that we can be oaid off ,so we will leave the entire medical system. So that we’ll not be practising Medicine, Pharmacy and Laboratory Science in Nigeria”

” I told Ike Ekweremadu at the public hearing that he will be the first victim of the law he is standing for before everybody, sen. Ike Ekweremadu can bear me a witness , it is now a prophecy come true”, Njemanze concluded.
