One of the remarkable lawmakers so far in the Egbeda State Constituency remains Hon. Olasunkanmi Olawale Babalola.
Hon. Olasunkanmi Babalola who is fondly called ‘Sunky’ gloriously rode to the position of a lawmaker in Oyo State in the year 2019 as also Gov. Seyi Makinde defeated Chief Adebayo Adelabu whom were also first timer.
It was taken hilariously initially by Egbeda Constituents that ‘Sunky’ might not deliver owing to first timeliness at the 9th Assembly in Oyo State, the table shook as from inauguration, ‘Sunky’ was ratified the deputy majority leader of the house, not only that appointed the Vice-Chairman, House Committee on Budget and Appropriation since 2019 till date, this makes a huge applause to the T.L Oyesina Model School, Monatan,Ibadan and the Prestigious Bowen University, Iwo,Osun State that reared Olasunkami Olawale Babalola out for legislation and financial credence in Oyo State and Nigeria.
Hon. Olasunkanmi Babalola is an open-ended, generous, approachable, conservative, reserved, loyal, humble, ever-learning, forgiving and media-friendly legislator at Egbeda State Constituency since creation.
‘Sunky’ really understands every man in his constituency at sight, calls name of constituents respectfully well. In 2019, Olasunkanmi Babalola made a motion which will open Strabag Lake at Adegbayi, New Ife Road,Ibadan among other bills sponsored for socio-economic value of
the entire Egbeda State Constituency and Oyo State at large as the Lake will enable water supply to neighbouring areas and tourism which undoubtedly will boost Oyo State’ s internally generated revenue. Can we still regard this honourable a young man again? Never, a politically mature lawmaker! He thinks outside the box, strengthens the forwardness of the continued Oyo State House Of Assembly. A strategist, a visionary and critic. Olasunkanmi Babalola critiques indiscipline, and bad leadership. No wonder, on 9th March,2023 ,youths of Egbeda State Constituency angrily passionately voted for Hon. Olasunkanmi Olawale Babalola for a continued magical legislative delivery in the Constituency as pledged to the good people of Egbeda State Constituency which fetched him over 20,000 votes ahead of other lawmakers position vying personalities. On November 3rd 2022, Olasunkanmi Babalola was awarded the ” Most Listening Legislator of the Year” at an education’s Competition held at National Museum of Unity,Aleshinloye,Ibadan, going by all of these, undoubtedly, we could all agree with me that Hon. Olasunkanmi Olawale Babalola is the young and mightiest of Egbeda State Constituency who will maintain good performances in his rare 2nd Term for growth and development of the Constituency through legislative works.
