Make Your Impacts Felt In Oyo State — Oyo Commissioner, Fakorede

Oyo state government has charged the newly posted Youth Service Corps members to ensure their impacts are felt during their service year in the state.

This call was made at the closing ceremony of
the 2023 NYSC Batch A(Stream II) Orientation Course.

Speaking, governor Seyi Makinde who was represented by the commissioner for Youth and Sports, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede on Tuesday noted that the service year will only be remarkable if the youths deliver positively during the one-year engagement in Oyo State.

“As you the Corps Members move into the nooks and crannies of Oyo State, I urge you to be ready to make your impacts felt in your respective host communities by embarking on projects that would add value to their lives.”

Fakored added saying:”Oyo State people are very hospitable and accommodating while stating the commitment of the State Government to their welfare throughout their stay here”

Meanwhile, Hon. Seun Fakorede called on the corps members to work co-operatively work with the government towards maintaining a sustainable development in the 2.0 Mantra of Gov. Seyi Makinde from May 29 and as well foster democratic development in the country, stressing the need to uphold law and order during and after their service which will as well strengthen the security atmosphere

“Lastly, you are called upon to support and join hands with the State Government in building a more robust, united, peaceful, democratic and sustainable environment”, Fakorede concluded
