People of Iwere-Ile Rejoice As Makinde Presents Beaded Crown, Staff of Office To Monarch

The people of Iwere-Ile in Iwajowa Local Government, Area of Oyo State could not hide their happiness as Governor Seyi Makinde presented the beaded crown and staff of office to their king, HRM Oba Rev./Evang. John Odedokun Ayinla Ilufemiloye 1, the Oniwere of Iwere-Ileland.

The coronation ceremony which took place on Friday, 28th April, 2023 at AUD Primary School, Iwere-Ile, Iwajowa LG attracted glitz and glam from both near and distance to the programme.

Governor Seyi Makinde who was ably represented by the Director of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, delivered the governor’s address and also presented the beaded crown and staff of office to the monarch.

Makinde pledged his commitment to fulfilment of all promises made during the electioneering campaign of March, 2023 and however appreciated them for maximum support and cooperation that eventually made the second term a reality.

He showed his commitment to adequate security, quality education, effective health care services, sustainable value chained agriculture, attraction of foreign investors and fostering a prosperous economy among others.

The Executive Chairman, Iwajowa Local Government, Hon. Oyinloye Jelili Adebare welcomed guests and well wishers to the august occasion of the coronation ceremony and moreover wished them all journey mercy back to their various destinations.

In his appreciation, HRM Oba Rev. John Odedokun thanked Governor Seyi Makinde, people of Iwere-Ileland, Oke-Ogun Council of Traditional Rulers led by Oba Khalid Olabisi, the Okere of Saki and others whose support and cooperation led to success of coronation ceremony.

Among indigenes of Iwere-Ile community, who thanked Governor Seyi Makinde over presentation of beaded crown and staff of office to the monarch, and whose requests centred on extension of dividends of democracy to Iwere-Ile and Iwajowa as a whole are Architect Francis Muyiwa Adelowo(FM Adelowo), Comrade Abdulwaheed Olojeede, former Chairman of NLC in Oyo State, Hon. Anthony Ogunsola Oladejo, Honourable-Elect for Iwajowa State Constituency, Chief Abdulwaheed Sanni, former Zonal Director of Education, Iseyin/Itesiwaju/ Iwajowa/ Kajola Federal Constituency, Chief Soliu Yusuf Anibire, Baale Eleni of Iwere-Ile, Alhaji Yusuf Mukaila Anibire, Rev. Moses Ayanyemi Ayandokun and Pastor Joel Adebimpe

The peaceful and colourful coronation ceremony was attended by the traditional rulers in Oke-Ogun, government officials, political functionaries, community’s indigenes and well wishers among others.
